In order to hopefully start up some discussion, I figured I'd post a question for the group:

What problems do CRs in the Southwestern area face that might differ from those in other areas/environments.

For example, here in Arizona, the seasons don't precisely match up with the traditional Celtic calendar.

Any thoughts?

One way I deal with that in my rituals is to talk about the ENERGY of this time of year, which usually matches the Irish growing season to some extent. Then I talk about something happening here in Arizona at the time of the high day ritual. For example, for Lughnasadh, I will be talking about how growth has lessened from the hot summer, and yet how basil is growing profusely and ready to start harvesting in earnest.
